Love, Adoration, and Impatience

Well, I have a new journal, but no new art yet. My projects have been consisting of working on these Nerf guns and getting them painted and whatnot. Sadly, our deck is covered in broken glass and it's very cold out right now and so I haven't been able to do any new painting in the past month or so. Guess I'll have to wait until the snow and wind are gone before I can start up again. I managed to get one mostly done, but I gave it back before I took a decent picture of it. I have another Maverick to do though, so there will be pictures eventually. If any of you guys have any suggestions as to what random odds and ends could be glued or otherwise attached to any of the Nerf N-Strike guns, I would greatly appreciate it, because I don't need to do that outside. Hahaha!
Anyone who lives in the same house as me (as well as one or two others) know that I've been pretty ecstatic lately. No idea why that might be, but I think it might be the fault of
and her wonderful sharing nature. Or maybe 
and her adorableness and love. Or either of my other roommates who doesn't have a dA account. I'm not sure. No clues. Really. I do know that the two of you are amazingly fantastic. Amaztastic. Ya, that's the one.
I've been missing my island friends a lot lately too, though. All of them. Every single one. My heart breaks that I don't get to see you all as much as I would really like to. My Christmas this year is going to be expensive in travel costs but if I plan it right, I should be able to see everyone for at least five minutes.
Ok, now onto sharing for this edition of randomness that comes from Step's brain. I adore these two bands. Ludo (who, if you go look at the gallery for
, you can see some awesome fan art of) is amazing. I saw them in Seattle in October and they were every bit as good live as they were to listen to regularly. No... better. So energetic. In any case, everyone needs to hear this song because it's the most freakin' adorable song on the face of the planet. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvHeYa…
The other band was one of the openners for the Ludo show. They're very, very, very awesome and I want everyone to understand how wonderful they are because I want to help them build their fanbase. They're called Tommy & the High Pilots and they are very nice guys. I had the chance to meet Tommy and the drummer, Matt (who also drums for Ludo) at the show a nd they were super sweethearts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9CplY… I love their music and would have loved to see them live again, but I was sick that day and couldn't drive to Seattle again.

Nerf Guns, Ambient Music, and Fangirling

Welcome to yet another journal entry where I talk about things for the sake of talking about them! Yay!
As any of you following me have probably noticed, I like steampunk. It's a pretty rad thing and I'm trying to make it contagious. I have recently come to an idea that I would like to do for fun and to possibly make a couple of dollars in the process. Why am I tell dA this? I dunno, but I guess we'll see what comes out of it.
I want to start customizing Nerf Guns. Ya. How rad, right? Nerf guns on their own are pretty effin' sweet, but imagine one painted in gunmetal colors with hand-done detailing and some customizations to make it just that little bit unique and personalized! Now you want one, right? If you do, let me know. I'm trying to gauge how much interest is out there and if people would actually be will to give me money for them.
My brother recently provided me with a large amount of music, and for any of you that have not heard of The Flashbulb, I highly recommend you look them up. In fact, here www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2WX0M… Go listen. That one is one of my favorites.
I also feel the need to promote a couple of artists on here.
First and foremost is the wonderful MurderousAutomaton
This dude is super cool and does really awesome renditions of character sketches and art deco style things. Some of his posters look like they could have been pulled right out of the era, I swear.
Next, I would love all of you to go check out Woman-King
She is my very bestest friend in the whole world and I think everyone should see how lovely her art is. I don't know that it has a link to her old account as well, but the stuff she has up is awesome.
Finally, I want everyone to see this picture. Well... only the HINABN fans will (maybe) find it funny but YourIronLung

Pretty sure no one cares about what I write in here, but I figured it was time for an update to the journal anyway.
Now that I have been using the wonderfully awesome website Posemaniacs www.posemaniacs.com/ for my models, I'm starting to get back on top of doing my steampunks. I should be having more and more go up as the month goes on. That and I've been doing a bunch of character art in the past few weeks, so I may get sidetracked a bit, but all for good causes. Not that anyone will know who they are, but I'm hoping to get something sexy done of Malik and Solus, which are two characters done by a friend and I. They're like mediveal metalheads and it's awesome.
I'm recently obssessed with HiNaBN, thanks to Fiona. Go here hanna.aftertorque.com/ if you don't know what it is. I demand it! As I'm sure anyone who knows me will attest to (including the Tumblrs), I am in love with Worth and Lamont. Not in the slash sort of way (so much) but I love their bro-mance and beating on each other constantly. They're a great pair and I am highly entertained by them, a bunch.
I've been thinking a lot about my future in the movie industry lately. Not that I don't think about it constantly anyway, but I've been actually thinking about what I want to do with it. I need to sit down and figure out schools, that's for sure, but I've been trying to decide which genres I would most want to be involved with. Right now, my mind is set on kind of semi-film noir, fantasy adventure drama thing. Ok, I'll say it. I want to do a steampunk movie. I don't know exactly what genre that fits into, but I want to do it. Since listening to Abney Park, I've been full of ideas and my screenwriter friend is into to steampunk as well, I can see it happening. But I guess we'll see right? ^.~

Well hello to anyone still watching my page, sorry I haven't been updating in the past... uh... while. Heh.
I'm going to try and get back on the ball again since I'm here anyways looking at everyone else's stuff. Might start putting up my character sketches and some photos and good stuff like that. Getting back into the basic/elementary n00b photo manipulation stuff. I do it for fun, not to be a photo-wanker. Haha!
Anyways, that's me, back.. kinda! Hopefully I'll have something fun to look at soon!
